Dear Paradise,

"Dear Paradise,
We are never leaving.
Love,
Jenny & Zach”

We were definitely getting use to not waking up to an alarm. Instead the sunlight would seep through our curtain which meant it was time to call up room service and have breakfast in bed.

But the rest of the time was spent relaxing and enjoying each other’s company.

Where is Zach?

Day 2: (of Honeymooning in Punta Cana)

Not having to wake up to an alarm was absolutely amazing!  With the weeks prior to the wedding I still had plenty to do even with having my summer’s “off”.  Though for teachers we are never truly “off” for the summer.

Started off the day right by ordering room service (again) but this time for breakfast!

Zach looks so handsome pouring hot chocolate for me! =)

Departure

Departure:

Our honeymoon has been the first trip my husband (still so crazy to say it!) and I have flown on a plane together.  Usually when we go to the airport together, we are seeing each other off on separate adventures.  This time, this was our adventure.

Flying tip: When flying with your significant other (or another person) have one person sit in the aisle seat and the other by the window, leaving the middle seat open.  More than likely other passengers will not choose to sit in between you leading a three seat paradise for you and your companion!

Discovered that we can be creative on a plane.

Now onto the fun part! (Sorry, but not sorry for all of the details…)

Whirlwind of Happiness, Love, and Joy

The past couple of weeks seem to have gone by in flash!

A whole year of planning for the big day led to a tremendous cultivation of hard work, tears, sweat, and laughter.  The whole experience was surreal and I hope to share it all soon.

Here are some highlights from the past couple weeks:

Had an amazing rehearsal day, dinner, and dance practice with family, friends, and our beautiful bridal party pictured above.
(I know, we all must be models or something.)

DIY: Burlap & Tulle Aisle Bows

Pinterest is my nightmarish obsession.  I could spend hours just pinning things I “want” to do.  Planning a wedding has actually helped me bring these “pinned” projects into fruition!

In one of my searches of “how to tie a bow” I found and followed the directions of how Home Sweet Ruby created her bow for her fall wreath.

I adjusted the directions to fit my wedding needs!

Here is my first DIY tutorial for my Burlap & Tulle Aisle Bows:

Happy Birthday!

Happy birthday to me!

Gotta say, that today was the first day I had to “work” on my birthday, but I did not mind at all!  I was excited to work on my blog again!

Birthday Reflections:
·      I thought I was turning 28. (I’m really turning 27)
·      Super excited for next week, only 9 more days! (We’re in the single digits baby!)
·      I have am surrounded by loving and supportive people who have surprised and shower me with gifts and well wishes. (Need to make some time to say “Thank you” to everyone on Facebook.)
·      I am truly content with spending my birthday with just the person I love the most, my fiancée.
·      I still enjoy surprises though!

I received beautiful orange flowers from one of my bridesmaids and my fiancée.

And a night full of surprise gifts and ice cream cake (my favorite!) from my matron of honor and bestest!

Don’t forget to make a wish!
